Day 1

Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup in Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive to the Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley.

You’ll arrive in time for lunch at your mid-range lodge or tented camp, where you can relax before heading out for your first game drive in the afternoon.

The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife reserve, home to lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and vast herds of plains game.

Your afternoon game drive introduces you to the park’s rich ecosystem as you explore open savannahs and riverine areas before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Full Day in Maasai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive when wildlife is most active.

Your guide will track predators such as lions and cheetahs, while also searching for elephants, rhinos, and large buffalo herds.

The open plains allow for excellent wildlife photography and extended sightings.

Return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest before heading out again in the afternoon for a second game drive.

This unhurried pace allows you to explore different sections of the reserve and fully appreciate why the Maasai Mara is the heart of any Kenya safari tour. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and drive toward Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving around lunchtime.

After checking in and enjoying lunch, you’ll head out for an afternoon game drive in this compact yet wildlife-rich park.

Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos, pelicans, and thriving rhino population, making it one of the best places in Kenya to spot both black and white rhinos.

You’ll also encounter giraffes, buffalo, waterbuck, and possibly leopards before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru – Nairobi

This morning drive offers excellent birdlife viewing and one last opportunity to see rhinos grazing against the scenic Rift Valley backdrop.

After exiting the park, begin your drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.

You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your memorable Taste of Kenya safari.
